Teacher Experiences
Delivering BIF Masterclasses for teachers to increase creative capacities and build new innovating capabilities. Then experience BIFKiDS as a problem-solving workshop, and make new connections for how BIFKiDS fits critical-inquiry led learning across the curriculum.
Localised Global Goals Curriculum
Using place-based learning to bring the Sustainable Development Goals to life in a local context; 'place-based education better connects learning and communities with the primary goals of increasing student engagement, boosting academic outcomes, impacting communities and promoting understanding of the world around us'
Classroom Facilitation
Teaching teachers to support delivery of in-class workshops, helping build foundational understanding and DIY capabilities, and showcase the adaptability of BIFKiDS problem-solving process for childrens learning and doing.

Sideways is our proprietary online learning platform for all BIFKiDS learning resources and content including; BIF for Teachers, Global Goals curriculum, worksheets, and helpful case studies and examples. Sideways also will provide community support for all educators to share knowledge to learn 'left and right' from each other.

BIFKiDS; Guardians of the Future
We’re currently in a year of BIFKIDS prototypinG with schools in AOTEAROA (nZ). We’re COLLABORATING UNDER the banner of THE TE REO Māori WORLD VIEW called Kaitiakitanga.
“Kaitiakitanga means guardianship and protection. It is a way of managing the environment, based on the Māori worldview. A kaitiaki is a guardian. This can be a person or group that cares for an area such as a lake or forest”
So, BIFKiDS in NZ is combining ancient Māori traditions with western modern innovation, such that becoming a superhero problem-solver is becoming a guardian of the future.
We’re building in another Māori concept that connects with the BIF approach of ‘train-the-trainers’ capability building. In Māori it’s called Tuakana/Teina:
’Tuakana/Teina refers to the relationship between an older (Tuakana) person and a younger (Teina) person and is specific to teaching and learning in the Māori context’.
For BIFKiDS, we’re exploring how the teachers (Tuakana) help develop creative leadership in Year 6 kids (Teina) who in turn become Tuakana to the younger years 1-5 Teina.
